Hello ; Iam intend to buy C-2000 ModelBut I have some questions about the extarnal flash possibilities :
- What kind of external flash unit (type or model) will be the most suitable for this camera - How the external flash will work with the PC sync connection - will the builtin flash be disable automaticly - what about the electrical connection of the external flash unit - What are the two steps of flash fire system in digital camera

Pretty much any "automatic" external flash would work, and with the Oly's great aperture control, you could even use a manual flash just fine. As I recall, you can either disable the internal flash, or let it fire as well. Electrical connection is via a standard "PC" sync socket. The two pops digicams use is to help set the exposure/white balance. Actually, I think it's just the white balance that's set on the first pop, the second actually takes the picture.

Large camera stores will have a supply of used Sunpack and Vivtar flashes that work great with a cord. The Vivitar 283 has been a mainstay for years and works fine. If you're lucky, $20 will buy one that looks used but works fine.
