I wish to know if there exists a program to remove barrel distortion from the images produced by substandard optics like the one in my COOLPIX 950.

I am currently using Paint Shop Pro, but I think Paint Shop Pro can also us Photo Shop plug-ins and is much cheaper than Photo Shop.

I know of some other folks developing an application for just this purpose, but they've a lot of work ahead of them to get a wide range of cameras characterized. Don't know when/if it will hit the market.
