external flash for nikon coolpix 950

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have a coolpix 950 and want to take close-up pictures of teeth in the mouth. I have the tele lens and extension rings, but the width of the telephoto lens causes a shadow on the right side of the lens. I am trying to find out if the external flash bracket will position a flash so that the shadow will be eliminated, but I gather that it still goes to the left of the lens. Any help welcome. Also, where can I buy a bracket on the web; and which type of accesory flash should I buy? Thank you

Try SR Electronics' ring flash - a little pricey, but it'll give you perfectly illuminated macro shots. http://www.srelectronics.com
