I have a 40x computer cdrom drive, can I able to convert to vcd player. Where I can get such hardware converter? Is't possible to run with out computer?Your advises are welcome

Just look at these threats and you get tones of answers. In short, you don't need a hardware decoder card and if you have Win 95/98 then just a matter of downloading Windows Media Player or if you want better Quality go to XingMPEG.com for a commercial version.

From what I understand, you want to turn a 40x CD Drvie into a stand- alone VCD player correct? If you do then you can forget it. It is possible but the cost is too high(almost as much as a regular VCD or DVD player). Also your drive is too fast for Video CDs. Anything over 24x is just too fast now.

I have tried the many hard ways of converting but they dont work the best thind to do is get a VCD player

my cdr/rw drive plays vcds using powerdvd and picture is great...go to vcdhelp.com then go to "how to play vcd"
