Vaccinations/Y2K

What are your thoughts on getting vaccinations in the event of "more than a bump in the road? I've received a tetnus and am thinking of getting cholera and hepititus (sp) (the 6month 3 shots.) If I so get the hepititus (sp), I need to decide by Wednesday. Thanks in advance

If you are sure your immune system is in good order, go for it. If you have any type of immune difficiency I wouldn't do it. Just my opinion. I have CFIDS and I refuse all vaccinations other than tetnus. Taz

My doctor said to go to the health department and tell them you will be traveling to Albania (to do volunteer work) and need the required shots. Because they do not have any idea of what is present their now, they will give you "everything".

When traveling to other countries you get shots for known problems in that area only, mentioning Albania will get you the works.

Very small price to pay for "insurance".

quietly, just for informationaly purposes, there is also a vaccination for lyme disease. it's a series of 3 shots over a 6 month(?) period. depending on where you live and how much time you plan to spend outside, it could be beneficial. good luck.

My doctor is an Internal Medicine doc and and Industrial doc. She treats the oil rigger here in Houston. Anyway, she has most vaccines in her office, and she gave me a list of what she has and the cost. I told her it was because of y2k. She didn't judge or comment...other than tell me that a relative of hers living in Australia was without electricity (I forgot the reason, it was in one of the big cities about 4-6 years ago I think) anyway she said that it was not a nice experience. In other words, she didn't blink an eye when I mentioned y2k.

quietly- You're lucky to have a doctor like that. I think if I mentioned that to my doc, she'd write me a scrip for a sedative.

I got a tetanus booster at the local public health "shot clinic," (mostly infants and toddlers.) Cost me $4. No questions asked.

Knowing what I know now about vaccines, and the risks that they entail, I would not get any.

The Medical Establishment is experimenting on you people, and you don't even realize it. They downplay or ignore the sometimes dangerous(or fatal) side effects, and tout the benefits, all without a single study (that I am aware of) to back up their claims of safety and efficacy.

Ever notice that in the small print on the WAIVER OF DAMAGE that they require you to sign, it lists serious side effects?

Many of these vaccines are contaminated with animal viruses (some unidentified still), and will infect you with other viruses.

I've seen some info that suggested that SIDS might be causes by vaccines given to small children. Vaccines (especially the DPT shot) can cause "cerebral screaming" - serious and sometimes fatal brain swelling that causes great pain for the child.

If you have good hygiene, and are careful of what you ingest and how it was handled, your odds of contracting a serious disease are small.

IF you must get some vaccinations, try to find out which ones are created by genetic manipulation (some are synthetically made with only antibodies in it, and not the viruses or killed cells).

I agree with Bill. Vaccines are NOT the harmless preventatives that med.org would have you believe. For example, did you know that there is a "Vaccine Injury Compensation Act" and accompanying Board? Almost 20% of the cost of a dose of any vaccine goes to this commission's fund, which is to compensate thaose injured by vaccinations. I went to school with 2 kids who had polio that they got from the oral vaccine. Plus there are numerous side effects from these shots, as Bill delineates. Nope, I will take my chances, thank you very much.

We got Tetnus boosters Friday, I worked in yard Saturday. Not a good choice, can't lift shot arm sunday. Ouch!

As part of the medical establishment and having had numerous shots in the military, I find it incredible to make a statement that people are being experimented on. Yes, reactions do occur. But I would certainly consider tetanus, which is good for ten years. So, yeah, don't get any shots, and we can go back to a life expectancy of 50, the way it was in 1900.

-- lparks (lparks@eurekanet.com), June 27, 1999.

Life expectancy in 1900 was 42! Mostly because of infectious disease and complications of childbirth. We've all had tetanus boosters in our family - I sure don't want to risk lockjaw because I cut myself moving that darn generator around.

Any medical people here ever here of the Tuskegee syphilis experiment?

-- Barb (awaltrip@telepath.com), June 28, 1999.

My doctor is prepping big time. Told him I wanted to get set up for Y2k sanitation problems, he started me on hepatitis sequence two days ago.

Lparks,

I hate to tell you this, but you WERE being experimented on while you were in the military. Oh, and don't give me the line "our so caring govt would never use military members as guinea pigs", ok?

They forced an Anthrax vaccine on the troops that has NEVER received FDA approval for that use. It was approved for another kind of use, but not the kind of use that the military is doing. They have NO idea if it'll work on the type of Anthrax being developed and fielded as biological weapons. Guess we'll find out sometime, while under biological attack, eh?

They forced the troops in Desert Storm to take a number of vaccinations that had never recieved FDA approval - they were PURELY experimental, and it appears that a large number of troops have suffered greatly because of it.

As I recall, by the time a child is 12, if he/she has taken the suggested immunization course, it's over 36 different shots (includes boosters, etc). You can't tell me that they all are perfectly safe, and that it's worth it to risk mine or a child's life for.

The medical establishment will NEVER admit that they are experimenting on the public; they would lose business big time, and they would be seriously liable, legally. It's best for them to just continue to experiment on the public.

And it will continue, even if the MD's and medical workers do know about the serious side effects, because it's very profitable.

If you wash your wounds out well with antiseptic, promptly, your risk of infection is small. I'd bet that alot of infection during the 1900's was because people didn't know what to do to about wounds/disease. We know better know, eh?

I'm afraid Bill has it right. Time for YOUR wake up call.

" In regions in which there is no organized vaccination of the population, general paralysis is rare. It is impossible to deny a connection between vaccination and the encephalitis (brain damage) which follows it." Journal of the American Medical Association July 3, 1926, p.45

"No batch of vaccine can be proved safe before it is given to children." Surgeon General of the United States Leonard Scheele, addressing an AMA convention in 1955

"The only safe vaccine is a vaccine that is never used" Dr. James A. Shannon, National Institutes of Health

If you really want the truth, you have to be prepared to spend time investigating it, as opposed to being fed information from the media. Sound familiar? Of course it does. It sounds like educating yourself about y2k.
