Arkanoid and mouse drivers.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

I have a controller for Arkanoid. One problem I'm having with it is that some how I have a 2 mouse drivers shareing the same info so when Try to calibrate it, I can never get it to react with the same sensitivity as the arcade one. If I put the value too high, it gitters. Lower, and I can't catch balls that richochet off of those foating objects. I already went through this whole procedure with the guy I bought it from, and I can't seem to get the help I need. I said he sold over 1,000 and no one has complained about calibrating the sensitivety of it. Can anyone please help me as I am not up to par on my computer skills? The controller can either be plugged into the mouse port, or the 9-pin port as well. The controller is also nothing but a mouse assembly in a nice housing... Any suggestions?

PS I did notice in device manager, under mouse, I hava a red "X" on PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port and a yellow "!" on Standard Serial Mouse? This definitely looks like a problem as to why I can't calibrate the sensitivety with this controller.

Please help!

Stephen, I am in right now, tech department of a major US computer company. Let me know exactly the name of the controller, and I'll pull up the database and see what I can find.
