SONY - - - MICROSOFT Please TALK !

I have a Sony F55. And since loading the "download program" to my system, have found that PictureIt99 will appear to freeze when doing a SAVE (something to do with the Indexer is already running).

------- I drag and drop from the Sony program onto the PictureIt99 film strip and save using PictureIt99 (Why? PictureIt99 doesn't seem to want to OPEN Sony's version of JPEG.???? Wonder if the D700's have the same problem?). -------

I found that if I leave the Indexer message alone (don't even respond to the message) it will clear itself in a couple of minutes. A pain and it takes forever, but at least PictureIt99 will then OPEN it and I don't have to pass them to PictureIt 1 at a time.

PictureIt99 seems to have some real issues. It doesn't let me directly address my CAMERA either (Sony's install doesn't register it in the CAMERA LIST... or PictureIt99 isn't flexible enough to handle the serial port... or some such silly thing).

Sony/Microsoft, ALSO SEE... Why Picture It freezes "my pictures" folder and how to correct problem. (Phil Stukin, 1999-06-19)

An Update... I decided to ReLOAD my entire system. Upon reload the MS PictureIt99 will now open the Sony JPEG's. Don't know if the problem had to do with Sony or Microsoft. It may have had something to do with the sequence I loaded the two products.
