Intentional HTML Mess-Up On Thread Requiring DELETE??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Forum Moderators : One Thread

There was a thread I had to delete, because someone messed it up with HTML stuff. I couldnt even access the post to delete so the whole thread had to go.

Title:

If you are a company man and would like to share some clues about what you learned about y2k and how serious it will be tell us your story. So we can best prep our families, keep it brief

For the HTML specialists in the MoD crowd... does any of this make sense?

Diane

Some of this time is spent in a setting that everyone can recognize as educational, e.g., a college classroom. Most education, however, occurs in non-traditional settings.

the "mailto" is the email address on the post.

The rest LOOKS like one of Phil's tail banners.

That's the part that totally messed it up. It put a weird box, like this response box, but that was all that was left on page. No way to type in anything, or contribute another answer. Bummer.

Right at the same time there was a rash of idiotic troll postings. Trace that menace!

Thanks!

Was wondering if I'd have to reformat... ugh!

If [a href="mailto:@@..@.com"]@@..@.com[/a] is the poster, then that is usually Buddy from DC and the DeBunker crowd.

I'm getting so I recognize his handles... *Sigh*
