I have a Calico Maine Coon. She was brought in to be spade at 6 months of age, and found to be missing the horn of her uterus, ovary, and kidney on the right side. Has any one seen this before and what special needs does this present. What quality of life is expected and how old will she live.

Since people can live perfectly well with one kidney, I suspect your kitten will as well. :-) No, this is not common, but congenital asymmetries like this happen in every species, including humans.

Enjoy your kitten!
