Has anyone out there using the Minolta Scan Speed encountered these problems?: 1. posterized skin tones or excessively red skin tones scanning from "normal" color negatives. 2. overly contrasty scans from both color negs and color transparencies-i.e. lack of hilite and shadow detail. 3. nasty "cross-curving" (e.g mag-green or red-cyan).

I'm having a devil of a time getting good scans from my 35mm negs and slides. Too much color correcting of prescans and actual scans. Is it a problem with Minolta's scanning software? Is there any 3rd party scanning software that's compatible with this scanner? (like Silverfast?) Any replies appreciated. I'd like to make contact with someone else using this scanner to compare notes.
