Im not sure why but my Canon Powershot PRO 70 Camera seems to take very contrasty pictures. This is my first Digital camera so I have little to compare it to, but it just seems to me that the samples of other peoples pix with this same camera arent nearly as contrasty. The pics also are significantly shifted in color range. It makes little difference to go to RAW format. The pics it takes on overcast days and highly diffused lighting are great, but in sunlit days and bright light areas t he contrast is thrown to a point of not even being able to be corrected in photoshop. Other shots I have seen taken in sunlit settings with this camera seem to look much better. This is with and without a flash BTW.
