Okay, I'll bite - tell me about charcoal and spider bites. (yeah, bad pun, couldn't help myself).

Myself I prefer to keep a Sawyer venom extractor in all my backpacks, cars, medical fishing box, medical tray in closet, etc. Thing looks like a giant hypodermic needle but with a suction cup where the needle would be, you push it in to create a vacuum that sucks out the venom. Never used it on spider bites though. Have used it on bee stings, it removes the pain in a few seconds, leave it on for at least 5 minutes, if pain comes back, put it back on again, etc. The unit will hep up to 30 minutes of vacuum, after that you'll not get anymore out. P.S. leave the stinger in, it will keep the wound open and allow more venom to come out. Most Boy Scout stores carry them. Matter of fact between the equipment and the books, your local Boy Scout store is a treasure trove of survival stuff. A survival intructor once commented that the best equipment for your money was either genuine US military or Boy Scout approved stuff.

An easy remedy for insect bites,(but never tried it on spider bites so can't give any info on that)other spoon is a squished tab of ASA. Put one in a spoon, add just a little H20 to get it soppy, squish with the curved back of another spoon to make a paste and apply to horsefly bites or any inflammation and let dry. ASA is a great cheap medicine. Have stockpiled plenty. Doesn't help if you are allergic, that is to ASA, i.e. aspirin.

I say we all chip in and send al-d to Apostrophe Remediation Classes......

He seems obtusely proud of being a comman man.....or perhaps his keyboard is busted and they don't work

Hmmmmmmm.....here al-d, feel free to copy and paste these babies into your posts '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''' That should be enough to last you for a while!

I can spare some as well, ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' '''''''''''''''''''''''''

and some spaces for between sentences. This should hold him for awhile.
