Hey, come on all you Titanic Buffs! It's been weeks since somebody has asked a question! I am desperate, I will ask a question to get people back in the swing of things. OK, What was everyones favorite line in the movie? Ya know, where if you heard one line, you would know instanly it came from Titanic. I think," Oh, Stop it mother, you'll give yourself a nosebleed" is a great line of the movie! Also, who is your favorite character in the movie? Mine would have to be Rose. Which actor/actress did the best job of playing their part? Francis Fisher did an excellent job as Ruth.

Hope this sparks some interest!
Josh

Well, Josh. You have enough questions there to keep me busy for the rest of the summer! Rose is also my favorite character. She is just amazing. I can't pick a favorite line- there are just too many good ones! Here's a little Titanic trivia for everyone: Bernard Fox, who played Colonel Archibald Gracie in Titanic, also had an unbilled role in A Night to Remember as Frederick Fleet, the lookout.

It's about time! :-) I knew I saw him somewhere. I also saw him in an old regency style film, filmed in the late 70's or so, and Bernard Fox had that same distinct laugh as in Titanic: "Hawha, alright then!" (Anyone for a brandy in the smoking room?)

For favorite line, there's a long thread already on that. Rose is also my favorite character. Several good acting jobs, also discussed on here elsewhere. Victor Garber, Kathy Bates, Kate Winselt, Gloria Stuart, di Caprio, the list goes on. Even Paxton wasn't bad. I credit these actors and Cameron for all these good performances. Now, the reason I'm responding: at a local theater here just outside of Washington, DC, they were having a mini display of the movie memorabilia - the Heart of the Ocean, pictures of the filming along with explanations, and some costumes. I think some of you, like Kathleen, saw this same display long ago. Anyway, SHE'S THE LARGEST MOVING OBJECT EVER MADE BY THE HAND OF MAN IN AAAAAWL HISTORY. Titanic's safe in my heart and MHWGO. My secret obsession is listening to the soundtrack frequently..STILL. Usually only on my way driving to work.

My current favorites:

"13 metres...you should see it."

Thomas Andrews.

Victor Garber.

The people that know me in real life know that I've always been fascinated with the interaction between humans and technology. The past few years have seen me add culture to the mix. The three make a complex dynamical troika (Russian term for a three-horse harness) that will be with us for the foreseeable future.

FYI--Bernard Fox was also Doctor Bombay on the television show Bewitched.
