Grant Funds made available to Y2K Non-Profits!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : NeighborLink : One Thread

I thought you would be interested in the following site and service from the Center for Y2K & Society (http://www.y2kcenter.org). The project supports nonprofits and foundations that are working to prepare communities for the serious societal impacts that could occur as a result of the Y2K problem, such as the disruption of health benefits, clean water/utilities, etc.

Of special note is the disbursement of grant money to nonprofits tackling these issues, along with tips and information on how to prepare one's community for the millennium, and an alert mailing list.

I hope you can check out the site, feature or link to it, and pass this message on to any interested colleagues.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Pam
