Hi,

I am doing a study on Image Capturing with regard to remote transmission of images.

My idea is to take a real-time image from a computer screen, encode it digitally, transport it over a modem link and decode and view it via a remote machine running the decoding-and-view application.

What I need to know is, what is the best way known to encode the display on a monitor of a a machine so that I may be able to constantly stream this encoded data to a remote machine via a modem link?? I am currently looking at text applications.
