ESSENTIALLY the question posted is : if the Holy Virgin at Fatima gave a third secret to be revealed by the pope, why doesn't he make it known to the people to avoid all kinds of speculation?

Do we know for a fact that there IS a third secret?

If so, do we know for a fact that it's of any importance?

I seem to recall that the other Fatima predictions were publicly revealed only AFTER they had been fulfilled. There's no reason to think this one (if there really is one) would be handled any differently.

To this Cathlic's knowledge yes there is a third secret of which no- one but the Pope knows the full content. Cardinal Ratzinger states he knows but I do not buy that for a moment. Sr. Lucia is about 82 years old now living in a Convent in Portugal. That is all I know.

Any Spanish or Protuguese Catholics I would love to hear form in English please. I have a friend in Quatemala who has some very fine thoughts on our faith and I respect him very much.
