Does anybody know what the voltage output and polarity of the ac adapter for the new olympus d-340r camera is it seems that olympus is padding up price of the unit they sell and there is no mention of it in the literature from camera.

thanks mike!!!!!!!

I got an ac adapter that says it works on Oly D220..D320..D340.. D500 D600.. D620.. D400 zoom and C2000zoom... it's specs are as follows. But 6.5-2500(but-05) Input 100v-240v-50~60hz/0.8A Output 6.5V-=2500mA(16.25Wmax) Got it from Digipower.. $30.00

Got mine from Olympus, spec is 6V 2Amps but monitoring the output voltage it actually gives 7V even when connected to my D340L, polarity is written on the camera, pretty sure center is +. --Nick--

We manuafacture generic olympus adapters, and we use the following specs,

6.5V 2.5A

No "off the self adapter (redio shack etc.)" meets the max amperage rating of 2.5A, so please be careful! You can purchase one directly if you choose by calling toll free 1-877-742-1700, or visiting our webstite.

You can purchase an adaptor from Radio Shack. Call Olympus tech. support and they will tell you that 6.5V 2A is fine for most of their cameras.

I came across this thread when doing a search for adapters for my D- 360L. I headed over to my local Radio Shack to see what they could come up with and figured I'd contribute the result.

Turns out because of the number of digital cameras out there, they added a generic digital camera adapter to their line. It has output 3-6.5v at up to 2.5 and comes with three attachable plugs. Plug position determines polarity.

We set it up for my D-360L at the store. Works perfectly.

Price $20
