Copying Prints for Cards

greenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread

I'd like to make copies of my prints to make cards and I'm wondering what would be the best way to do it. I'll be using a spray adhesive to glue it onto another piece of 90lb. paper. I'm not familiar with the different methods of reproducing these images inexpensively. I've seen cards with acceptable prints but have no idea what they did, but I doubt they paid much. Will some of the computer printers achieve this? Thankyou, Dianne

I have recently done a lot of experimenting with printing photoshop files to fine art paper using my Epson printer. The results are great but it takes several (4-5) test prints to get the color right. It seems this would work well if you were going to print a lot of one image but it wouldn't be very cost effective if you were printing just one card for each image. Also, some experience in color adjustment is highly recommended. Otherwise the 4-5 test prints might end up being 15-20.
