Is full remote control over all functions with multi-strobe capability feasible for the 950 or C2000?

Is it feasible to use these cameras as a ceiling-mounted unit, completely controlled via remote, using a serial cable for downloading images and controlling the functions of the camera, AC power adapter and wireless sync for multi-strobe? All images would primarily be high-res, autofocused from within focal distances up to 20ft. I would be using the lens from wide-angle to telephoto.

I have a PowerMac G3/300 MT beige.

What are the approximate download times via serial cable for each ca

It is not possible to control the Nikon 950 remotely. I do not know about the C2000. The Kodak DC260 and DC265 cameras will work as you suggest. You might consider them.

The Oly has some ability for remote control via serial cable, but its glacially slow and limited. OTOH, it's IR remote works REALLY WELL! You can zoom the lens, trip the shutter, even make exposure- compensation adjustments! With the video-out live, you could feed the viewfinder image to a TV for remote monitoring. Only problem if the camera were permanently attached would be turning it on, after the auto power-off time-out...
