My DC260 EATS batteries!!!!!!!

I have purchased a DC260 and it EATS batteries. does anyone know of a 7V battery that I could run into theDC socket?

This is typical of digital cameras. I'm assuming you are trying to use alkaline batteries, the worst choice. Buy a set of nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and a charger. They are available at Radio Shack, as well as many other places. These will give much better life, and are rechargable. Also, use the LCD display as little as possible, as it is the largest consumer of power.

With NiMH batteries you are unlikely to want to mess with any type of external battery pack. BTW, any external battery should be 6V, not 7V.
