SONY 91 acquisition time

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hi to all, I'd like to know if the SONY 91 is fast on the trigger, i.e. if it shoots when you press the button or if you have to wait for its little brain to realize that you actually want the pickie to be taken NOW and not next week ! I hear some cameras have up to one second delay ! thanks Orphee, Grenoble, France

If you have selected auto-focus and depending on your target, the camera reacts differently. If this is a moving targets, there is required time to focus prior to shooting the photo. If it is an stationary target, it reacts fairy quick. However, there is a trick to speed up this process. Select your target (stationary or moving) push the trigger half way down, camera is focused and ready, when you want your snap-shot just push the trigger all the way down and hold, the reaction time is reduced significatly.
