Jeopardy! Y2K Bug catagory

I suppose now that having a Jeopardy! catagory could be considered mainstream awareness. I didn't realize that the $1000 answer that 9% of those polled by CNN think it will be TEOTWAWKI.

Uh, sorry folks for the duplication of topics, I didn't see the previous post below. Thank you, drive thru....

It bothered me that the answers were so lame - it doesn't speak well for y2k being part of the mainstream awareness. (Either that, or my thousands? of hours of research are "paying off"??)

I think for most people, these were difficult answers, and any awareness is better than complete ignorance and apathy. You are correct that those that frequent this board would consider them simplistic, but I think even the Jeopardy audience is not informed. Just my 2 pennies worth...

What dissapointed me was that they didn't ask the obvious:

The answer: Paul Milne and Gary North

The question: Who are the worlds largest walking, talking, puckering rectums.

Y2K Pro,

Thanks for the belly laugh. By the way, one of the contestants was a stay at home mom and she knew every Y2K answer. Wonder if she lurks here?
