Flashpath? Or what?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I'm (about to be!) new to digital cameras. I've got a C-2000 on the way and am interested in the best way to get the pictures into my PC. I see Flashpath floppy adapters as a way to get SmartMedia cards downloaded. Is that the best way? What other options are there (for a desktop pc)

Thanks!

Got to use the USB smartmedia reader. Cause less than $80 and 10 times faster than flashpath which is only slightly cheaper. Save rest of the time to play with images. Use the flash path as backup and carrying around. You can download driver easily to any computer with internet access. By the way, I also got the C2000Z. The images are excellent. Hope you enjoy your camera.

Parallel port readers are a good option too if you don't have usb. The best is PCMCIA readers for portables.
