More info on Chuck Reuben. This guy is a problem and has been around along time. I am trying to find his old stuff from CSY2K. Him and Paul Milne did battle early last year as I seem to remember but can't find the the info. He was posting under a differant name (of course). I just think it is a good idea to know who we are dealling with. He avoids CSY2K now but find us a good target. Wierd.

Here is CPR's response in his y2k discussion forum at
http://www.smu.edu/cgi-bin/Nova/get/gn.html

No Secret. I sell property NOT
FEAR like your friends.

Forum: Gary North is a Big Fat Idiot Forum
Re: Is CPR a real estate agent (y2k dave)
Date: Dec 29, 12:13
From: CPR <buytexas@swbell.net>

My background has NEVER BEEN any "big secret". In fact,
my ID has been on this forum for months. Anyone on the
major list serves from the US or the U.K. knows who I am
and has for two years. I removed my business address and
numbers because I TAKE NO Y2k "related business"
whatsoever. I AM NOT>>>"a Vested interest" trying to make a
"buck" off Y2k. As such, you must address my views not my
background unlike North and Yourdon with their assorted
WARES FOR SALE.

IN SHORT..... MR. Y2K DAVE.... I CAN'T BE BOUGHT. That
makes ME very dangerous to Quick Buck BS Artists and
Scam Y2k Dealers with Gold Coins or inflated Stored food
plans.

The BOTTOM LINE HERE IS: WHO ARE YOU??? With your
copies of articles from c.s.y2k or other places. Is your
name Dave Forbes who can be found on North's assorted
forums under Y2k DAVE??

Gary and I even had dinner once in Plano with other Y2k
activists. He knows as does Yourdon exactly what I do and
BOTH ALSO know my TEN YEARS in ELECTRONICS, my
Technical credentials and my Academic credentials. Its easy
enough to find, they sit in the SAME BOOK published by the
SIM that has the "Contributors backgrounds" of one Gary
North AND Edward Yourdon along with 50 other authors.

Gary even refers to me as "A real estate salesman in Texas".
I like to think I'm his VERY
FAVORITE.

HOWEVER, unlike HIM and his Protege' Mr. Ed. of the soon to
be 2nd. Ed (ition):

1. I do not take any money for ANYTHING connected with Y2k.

2. I sell no books, tapes, teeshirts, mugs, generators,
screen savers or ANYTHING connected
with Y2k.

3. I sell no software, bios fixes, or add on boards for Y2k
"PC fixes" at INFLATED PRICES
from websites.

5. I sell no "FOOD PLANS" and take NO COMMISIONS for
anything like that connected with
Y2k.

6. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I knowingly do business
with anyone referred to me because of my Y2k VOLUNTEER
WORK ON OR OFF LINE. AFTER the "crisis" is over, I will
review that business policy.

What ever you do with this information, don't post it on the forum as it may complicate things even more.

Thanks Brian!

No way would I post any of that. It's just "nice" to know what were up against.

*Sigh*

I get a lot of e-mail at sacredspaces@yahoo.com I do remember responding to Steve Hewitt just a couple weeks ago.

Humm. Charles P. Reuben a.k.a. "cpr" is NOT the same as Charlie Register of Westergaard right?

Brian, the CPR stuff is on the forum already, about a month ago, I think

'Tis interesting, isn't it, that the "missionary zeal" of sir cpr is revealed as being "good and positive" but that other position (of teaching about year 2000, of trying to train people to prepare for uncertainity) id "profit-taking and fear-mongering".

Above, for example, he is so proud of convincing people to abandon preparations.....like a fanatic on his own crusade, without ever seeming to consider if he is wrong?

In the interview too, why is he so fixed on the 88% complete - could it be because he is counting "money spent on year 2000 remediation" rather than "affect of failures" from year 2000?

Chuck,

The thread with CPR's rants is on this thread...

Here's a CPR rant that mentions both me and Diane:

From: CPR

Poor Biffy. We only have some content and analysis. NO "Cheerleaders" stroking Poor Biffy.

EY is FULL OF HIMSELF. Do the math: one year: 200 posts a day avg. (but it is increasing).

It should be saved. Go back and see how many times a day "kevinmixedup" or "diane" or "a@a.a" post. They have 30-50 hard core just like Bro. Garay of Gloom.

They are hitting 100 new items with multiple posts. When you check its all: 'I agree", "she is a troll', "Disinformation' and short snips from the Memes like a Cheering section.

He should go check out chat posts on AOHell especially on the Mating/sex/meeting/or even computer issues.

MR. "10 year Depression in my opinion" needs to get a life or keep taking his Prozac and Viagra.

YourdoneFOR is a Little Leaguer BSing the Memes. SUZE Ormand bopped out 8 MILLION copies of one book of her platitudes. THAT is 40 Times YourdoneIV's sales. Chicken Soup must be right up there for each of his things.

The SISSY2k: C.S.Y2k is racking up 200-400 posts a day as is De Jager's list serve which only reships maybe 1/3.

His 70,000 posts mean nothing. C.S.Y2k claimed some 35,000 and someone found out Milne alone had almost 6,000. Gary's another joker with the stats. Now he has 4,000 "documents" link he brags.

One year X ten: day minus Sunday and a scattered few days when he was off in the fields with his mules: 300 DAYS X 10 /day: 3,000. He has been open for two years.

He is full of shit as usual. He even looked at the comments placed on the Swamp Pit without credit to CPR. He can't put GNIBFI together with that post without a hot link.

Interesting that the Memes will now see the thing costs "ANY OF US" nothing, as if he is promoting "community".

Not to worry. One by one, all his failed predictions will show the memes what "E.YourDone.After.YOU.Pay.me.4.the.book.com" is made of.

Lets see: he claimed "scattered self-reports for Airline reservations" and they were 'covering up errors".

Airlines only claim a modest 139,000 flights were booked in Feb. alone but that it set a record.

AND, we were told by all: Jo Anne coming.

So far it looks like the Jo Anne Effect will need new batteries in the dildo if its going to COME at all.

YOURDONEFOR IS BULL SHIT. [snip]
