Polly's wake up

Why did the navy academy site disappear, because it shows the government knows full well what is going on, I saw this site personally. Wake up and smell the coffee.

I too visited that site, and read through its entire content.

Its disappearance is disturbing...

Let's wait till Monday afternoon to be sure it is gone. It may have been hacked on Friday and not yet put back in operation. I have seen other government sites go down over the weekend and then come back up on Monday. Of course, it's certainly possible that the Naval War College site was getting too much attention from people that are not on the "need to know" list.

Good call Gordon. We shall cautiously wait until Monday, hmmmm.......What time is it?

GKN posted about the site on his page, with a link (Friday, was it???). I was wondering if that generated enough traffic to take the server down. The whole site was gone, not just the Decision Support Directive part of it which featured the 2k thinktank- I 'trimmed' the URL all the way back and still got a 404. The mirror site was still up when I looked there yesterday. I second the 'wait till Monday' approach before declaring a coverup.

Here's the URL for the mirror I mentioned above- sorry for the Alzheimer's moment:

U.S. Naval War College Center for Naval Warfare Studies Decision Support Department

I just received an email from Bruce Beach regarding the Naval War College site. Bruce has been in contact with Dr. Barnett, the author of the site, who said he thinks it was hacked. It should be up again Monday. Dr. Barnett does not know of any other reason for it to go down. It is also possible that the extra attention generated from the GN link attracted some "trouble makers".
