Been doing my summer things so I haven't been paying much attention to this list. I checked into the forum a couple of days ago after a month or so's absence and I read the stuff about Ed leaving Y2K world for greener pastures. Someone in one of those threads said something about a "cpr" keeping dossiers and vowing retribution etc. What's up? I searched the archives but I found nothing. Curiosity has gotten the better of me. Would appreciate a link or whatever to avoid rehashing old poop. Thanks.

cpr is Charles P. Reuben, a Texas real-estate guy, who believes we "turds" here at "Yourdung's Swamp" (his words) are infected by a mind virus. I kid thee not! He and his cronies and fellow travelers in the Polly Follies (Debunking Y2K and Gary North is a Big Fat Idiot Forums) are hell bent on a crusade to save us from ourselves and to save newbies from being infected by this mind virus (called a "meme"). To get an idea, think missionaries on acid.

cpr and co. refer to Debunking as "Debunky" and GNBFI as "Biffy." Now that someone else has taken over "Biffy" from the SMU student who started it, they want to call it "New Biffy." Such clever, darling little names!

Know-nothing CPR is still in the Y2K Polly Follies, "trashing" any knowledgeable sources re ramifications of failures and "cover-up."

It has been effective to ignore him; he doesn't go away easily, but he has been known to give up without a daily feeding of attention.

It will be the ultimate goal of the polly camp to 1) hold all programmers "responsible" for Y2K problems (even though it was early MANAGEMENT that gave the orders for the shortened date fields), 2) seize all preparations of those who prepared to "re-distribute" to those that didn't, "for the greater good", and 3) hold all "doomers" responsible for the last-minute panicking of the "pollys", and 4) make SURE that those in categories 1, 2, and 3 above are executed, "to provide an example to future generations"...

If they come for me, they'd better come well armed. Though I KNOW I'll die, I'll sure as HELL take some of them with me. And that's ultimately how to WIN, people, ATTRITION.
