Victor Keeps Head Low

Victor Chernomyrdin spent the day being yelled at by the Duma who insist he has sold out Russia's interest in the Balkans and Yugoslavia by accepting Nato's large role in future peacekeeping efforts. They're pushing no confidence vote on him. He is insisting he followed Yeltsin's instructions to the letter. Meanwhile... Russia today test fired a Topol-M intercontinental ballistic weapon which is thought to be only third time in last 7 years. Hmmm. Doesn't sound like they're in a party mood.

UPDATE:Today during border confrantations, India accidentally bombed a schoolhouse and 10 children were killed.Meanwhile,India also urges Pakistan not to embark on "The mad course of exercising the nuclear option" Wish I could count the number of times they have said that. Do they not understand the concept of "asking for it"?

The concept of "asking for it" seems not to have occurred to either India or Pakistan. What's guaranteed is that once the nukes begin both sides will lose some cities. And a good many men, women and children.
