Wear eyeglasses? Bifocals? Get your prescription current and have an extra pair. I learned the hard way...took a tumble yesterday..bifocals not working as they should. Now one handed for awhile...darn anyway! Guess it better to have happened now rather than later. Off to get new prescription and glasses (and extra pair) soon.

May I suggest that you consider the purchase of "sports glasses" for your backup pair? They are designed to take a lot of physical abuse. They cost more, but I think the investment is worth it.

For those GI's that can afford it I would suggest laser eye surgery. If anything resembling the Dark Ages is coming, glasses are not something you can count on. And once lost or broken, you're at the mercy of the well sighted. Not good.

I've been considering it myself, not just for y2k.

The money's there, but I hate surgery, and I worry about side-effects.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion....sport glasses are on order...(Not candidate for surgery). Learned it is nice to have something for pain...something besides aspirin. Going to save splints and get more ace bandage too. Things happen...first aid supplies a must.
