HI,

Does anyone know if the Olympus C-2000Z work with the iMac, which dosen't have a serial port like the older PowerMacs?

Thanks.

The IMacs have 3 forms of external interface. 1. USB 2. Ethernet 3. 56K modem. There are adapter that are starting to show up to convert these to other formats. You have a couple of options depending on what you are wanting to do. If you only want to read the pictures from the camera a USB smart card reader would work, like the one discussed in the web site below.

If you are wanting to control the camera from the computer then you will need the serial interface. According to the Apple web site: FAQ

http://www.apple.com/imac/specs.html

"Serial converters from Peracom, Entrega, Belkin, and Keyspan are becoming available to support a variety of existing devices."

You might check out the web sites for some of these companies.
