Where will you be, Where will your spirit be, When the sun comes up? (January 2000)

Just returned form escorting some relatives to an local Indian tourist site (San Xavier del Bac, Mission).

While picking through an Art/Craft Plaza, where local Indians show their wares, I was taken by an invitation to an event, which they are calling "THUNDER IN THE DESERT," a New Millennium First People World's Fair and Pow-Wow.

In Tucson, Arizona, on January 1st, 2000, the Indians here are asking:

Where will you be, Where will your spirit be, When the sun comes up?

Kansas Joseph. Why do I feel like you and I just had the same idea at about the same time? HA

If alive, we'll be here. Our property "is" a Civil War battle site. We have decided not to dig where the battle occurred [we did once and found unexplained things; not bodies]. We don't know what is there. Where ever we are. our spirits are here. Don't you think that Steinbeck expressed this well [even if he stole the idea from an old New Englander].

Hey, Joseph, I was born in Tucson, lived there for 24 years, went to U of A, music major, classical violin & piano performance, was in all the orchestras in town forever, it seemed :^)

Hung around San Xavier del Bac and the Hopis. Loved that part of life down there. But too hot, not enough water.

So my spirit will partially be there (very nice in Winter) and mostly rivetted on God in meditation. The body, probably cowering in almost-freezing Cascadia, hibernating in our little foxhole, praying that God blesses us with a protective PassOver and that everybody leave us, our place, & our stuff totally alone until life out there is safe.

In Cascadia around 1/1, ya really can't tell very distinctly when/if the sun has come up ;^)

I will be here at home with my loved ones (human and animal) and my spirit will be where it has always been.
