Why is Ed Yourdon Leaving?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I have read with mixed feelings about Ed Yourdon "retiring" his Y2K site. I must say that I can truly understand how he feels when you try to do the right thing to try and help others understand that because no one knows what will happen in the year 2000 that it would be better to be prepared than not.

For Ed Yourdon--thank you. I accidentally found out about Y2K in August of 1998 while looking for camping equipment. Since then I have read quite a bit about it--am continuing preparation for it, and am living with be "scoffed at" by many friends and family. I still believe that you have been a source of sound and reasonable judgment on many issues relating to Y2K. I am hopeful that you will, from time to time, put in your two cents worth and let us know that all is well with you and your family.

God Bless.

I trust him to say, exactly, what he means. (He certainly has the track record of doing so).

Saddens most of us too.
