will not match aarp pharmacy price quotes. I thought wallmarts policy was to meet or beat ALL OTHER PRICES! I obtained a quote from aarp and called the local mart, and asked if they would meet the aarp price quote. the answer was not no, but HELL NO!

Some Off Topic threads are a little more off than others........

YES, YES IT IS OF TOPIC, HOWEVER I WAS SO PISSED I POSTED IT ANYWAY!

It's not off-topic if you're stockpiling medication for Y2K. So there!

Wal-Mart& other chains are getting hammered by low reimbursement fees paid by the medicare funded senior HMOs. At least here in So.Cal. When a significant number of online pharmacy claims processors are proved noncompliant in January the spread will get even worse fast. Try an independent store in your area. You're gonna need a friend and you won't find him in a chain drug store. Perhaps not in AARP either.

thank you, drug hoarder!

No, no, "stockpiler". I have "reserves", someone I know (or my company) is "stockpiling", but that stranger over there is "hoarding".

Kinda like the runner's joke: "Running is my speed or faster; jogging is your speed or slower." 8-}]

Ed,

My parents have had similiar experineces. Selling drugs is becoming a real cutthroat business. My mom bought some drugs from one pharmacy and then went to one that was closer for a refill. When she went back to the first one, they told her to take a hike.

I hear where you're comimg from.

Health Care is a shitball....ready to implode.

I don't trust those Wal*Martians. My sister is one of them, and she's mostly obtuse regarding Wal*Mart policy unless it involves hardware, her speciality.

Stock up on TP now! Think about it. Can you manufacture TP? I can't. That's why I'm buying as much as my paycheck allows.
