Y2K: An Introduction

A while ago I posted that our cable system was going out at night on a regular basis. I was told they were working to upgrade the system and they were working at night so as to disrupt service as little as possible. However now service is going out during the day. Also just now figured out last time I was billed for electric was Feb.I called the company to ask what's going on and found out it was transferred back to my landlords name for some reason they can't explain. Not to worry, they will send me a big bill to make up for this and even put me on a budget plan. How nice. Also had two phone bills rolled into one by AT&T who "forgot?" to bill me one month. You know I've seen incompetance before, nothing like this. Who knows what will happen this month, but I'm sick of making phone calls. I hope they lose my visa bill! :)

Gia: How about depositing several thousand into your savings account only to have the teller inform you that you are now only several thousand + overdrawn? And they say they've been debugged since february!!! Makes me wonder...... And it wasn't a teller error because the receipts showed it as a deposit.

My internet provider neglected to send me a bill for 5 months ( I let it run to see what would happen : ) I went down finnaly because I didn't want to lose service. They couldn't find my name or account in their files. 5 months free service, wonder how long that can go on? BTW, they said it was from changeing billing services, and when I asked if it was Y2k, they got a little sick grin on their face, and didn't comment. FWIW
