Hello, Why does my printer always print too much red? Am I printing in the wrong mode in Photoshop 5 with RGB should I be in halftone or CMYK?? I printer out the house pic in samples amd the roof is purple and the bricks are almost pink! I also printed the inside protrait and the womans face is bright red. Is it just the Epson 600 printer I'm using or maybe the Epson glossy photo paper? Please help .. I'm desperate to get a good 8x10 print. Thanks John

Have you calibrated your monitor. If the colour of your monitor is off, your images won't come out either. Once you have done this, then try again. I had this pronblem with other than epson paper with my photo ex. I set upo the printer to uise the icm profile that I use to calibrate my monitor which solved the problem. Check the colour control you are using. Some printers allow you to use the icm colour matching profile. You could try this. As far as RGB is concerned stick with that; that is not the problem here. Most printers drivers have trouble with other than rgb images.

I had a similar problem with my PhotoSmart printer. Check out the toolbox on your printer. There is a test print you can should be able to run to adjust the colors. Good luck.
