I have been having trouble with a large bank when mailing in payments. I was tired of the phone calls, where's our money, when it had been mailed, in plenty of time. The last payment was made AT THE BANK at 9:30 am. on a friday. AT 11:18 am. the call came where's our money. While making the payment, I looked through the window at the computer system being used. It was a 286 or 386 at best. It was a DINO whatever it was. Why do I bore you with all this? I just came from their year 2000 web site. It states in plain English "We hah finished repair of all of our systems by late 1998 and are now testing." The puters I saw were NOT compliant and can not be made compliant. I should say I'm glad this isn't my bank, but it's PC's are dino's too. Some one should tell them they have branch office's.

Our bank statements have gone downhill in the past few months. I compared the recent statements with older ones. The older ones appear to have been done on a laser printer but the new ones are a real mess. Sometimes everything is double and it looks like they have reverted back to the dot matrix printer. Why would this be?

A sign in the window says they are Y2K Ready! Ready for what, a bank run????
