Single Rosebud

It just goes to show that some of the greatest photo ops are in your own backyard... taken w/ N70, Nikkor 105/2.8 macro, Velvia. Exposure was somewhere in the neighborhood of f/4 @ 1/30, I think. (OK, so I sprayed a mist of water on it to add the "dew" drops... that doesn't count for "hand of man" intrusion, does it??)

I like the soft focus and the colors ... really like it ... just like a glamour photo. Nice work.

Sorry to be grumpy, but the rose must break the "hand of man" rule. It's a hybrid T rose, the result of hybridisation between Asian and European species, and much artificial selection. A picture of a spaniel or pit-bull would be just as much as home in this forum! Personally I don't like the very soft focus as well, but this is just personal taste. Again, sorry to be grumpy..

After conferring with Bob, you're right. I misread the guidelines... my apologies.

Thanks for the comments anyhow... Back to the shutter release, I guess!
