cancelled shows

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Talk back to the Brain : One Thread

I was surfing the net and found out that NewsRadio and Homicide:Life on the Streets have both been canceled, and yet Suddenly Susan is still on the air? What's the one show that was cancelled that you loved in the past? What show was so bad you couldn't believe it was still on? For me the show that was cancelled that I loved was Franks' Place starring Tim Reid in the late 80's. As for the other question, when Married With Children went off the air, I had no idea it was still there.

Hell, "Victoria's Closet" is still on the air. That's criminal.

Ever since I discovered "Homicide", I've been trying to get other people to watch it. No one I know has ever even turned the show on. I'm going to miss "Homicide" more than any other. I'll miss Giardello and Pembleton and Bayliss and Meldrick Lewis and Munch and Bolander and Kay Howard and Crosetti...I'll even miss Barnfather, Gaffney, and Luther Mahoney. I'm just glad it's been on the air for seven seasons. I'm parking in front of the TV this Friday and nothing's gonna budge me.

Luther Mahoney was an excellent nemesis and possibly "Homicide's" best character, aside from Pembleton and Giardello. I always wished they had more shows featuring Mahoney vs. Pembleton or Mahoney vs. Giardello.

I wish they'd do some sort of "Farewell to Homicide" show that brought back all the Homicide actors one more time. I'd love to know what Kay Howard has been up to all this time...

I think last november (or december) when the homocide detectives went to Florida to solve a crime, i knew the show was in trouble. it seemed like it was trying a little too hard to beat Nash Bridges (and how sad is that?) also i guess this year was the third crossover with law&order which seemed kinda' forced. I mean there are a hell of allot of detectives in new york, and a hell of allot of detectives in baltimore. why did the same 4 detectives always end up working together on a case every year? I'd love to see a reunion episode. I'd love to see what happened to Ned Beattys' character. also, speaking of bad guys. who was that police chief that was always on Yaphet Kottos' ass? he was always in full uniform and he looked like Chris Rock (circa Saturday Night Live)? He was a great asshole.

That was Barnfather, wasn't it? At least he wasn't as bad as that bastard redneck Gaffney. They were both too political.

I'd love to know what happened to Bolander. We got to find out what happened to Kellerman, Felton, and Russert, but Bolander and Kay Howard just vanished off the face of the earth.

And I never watched the Florida episode. I didn't want to have to watch them strain for ratings so obviously.
