Do I need mains adaptor for Toshiba PDR-5?

My digital camera was supplied with p.c. package. Mains adaptor was not provided. Do I need this lead? Do I use batteries to download? Please advise Many thanks

For my Toshiba PDR-M1 I got an Adaptor at RadioShack for $15 and it works great!

As long as you get a plug that fits and a Voltage of 4.5V-5V it should be OK, just make sure you observe polarity.

you can use lithium battery of 3volt for your pdr-5 digital (toshiba) camera there is no problem to use battery if you need more informetion I am ready.I also require a software for pdr-5 because the software provided by toshiba dealer (cd)is damaged by me so I need same please help me.
