According to Cherri's last "this is my response to Cory" post, her idea of "Big Iron" is a dutch oven.

Year 2000 Time Machine Testing

What is a Time Machine? It's a test facility for solving Year 2000 computer problems.

The STL Time Machine Reports available below describe the challenges I've encountered working on a large Year 2000 project in an IBM Mainframe MVS/ESA-OS/390 environment.

You might also want to visit my Year 2000 Downloads page for free software fixes from IBM, Microsoft, and various netizens. There's also a Programming Resources page.

Don't know if may are aware of the "Polly" Cory is featuring but it is not the average polly. Arnold Trembley has his own series of articles that have to be the most technical account of remeidiating the Y2K problem that is out there.

Should mention that the top part of the last post is a quote from Arnold's site.

Read it. Re-read it.

Still feel the same. If we could get 90% of the people working on these projects to report the same, that would still leave 10% out there to mess with things like JIT, can you say "were are those #% #king parts?". Things like rawmaterials, "Asia and Africa just fell off the map!"(woops did you mean only the US was 90%?). What do you mean I only have to work 2 day weeks for the next 6 wks? What's for dinner? Beens and rice, did you get a deer?

Blah blah blah, looking forward to the next one. And would you please do a better job polly?!
