Was out to the mail boxes on the road and had occassion to talk with neighbor. I had given them info last winter. There are 4 generations living on their farm. I asked her if they were still stocking up and she they were and that Mom and Dad had two generators and fuel set by. They also are figuring in the widow that lives behind us. So between them and us, she will be cared for. But she said that an awful lot of the people out here in the Forest are stocking up quietly and that the local Baptist church had had 3 meetings on y2k preparation. So I am feeling pretty good about things, even tho I have seen little signs of anyone stocking up at the stores. So maybe just because we don't see it, doesn't mean its not going on. And since we are relatively new to the area we don't know a lot of people. The ones we know, for the most part, have become GIs because of all the stuff I have printed off the internet and given out. Another good day today.
