41 state parks closed?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Yesterday, I heard a guy talking about y2k, I started to talk to him and he told me that 41 state parks were closed in the united states and the reason was that they were holding NATO vehicles there, for use in the future. Sounded a little far out , but nothing I hear sounds to far out lately. Any one ever heard of this? Would like to hear from you.

I would avoid talking to that guy in the future. He'll mention contrails and the NWO if you let him.

A close friend of mine said his daughter was at a National Park last summer and the people running the park had UN emblems on their uniforms and some wore UN hats.

Combine this with the Executive Order by Clinton last summer giving our parks to the Global community.... and survey says YEP!

I cna't find my note on the Executive Order, anybody help out?

Great Smoky Mountains National Park has changed it's name to International Biosphere Reserve according to Park Entrance signs! Looks like the UN has taken over many US Parks! Take a trip this summer! Seeing is believing!

Check a dollar bill in your wallet! Since 1935 our One Dollar Bill has an occult symbol of the all seeing eye of the anti-Christ that reads....

Annuit Coeptis Novus Ordo Seclorum, meaning...

"Announcing the Birth of the New World Order without God!" This is proof of the conspiracy by the Federal Reserve Bank to destroy America!

The Federal Reserve Bank is owned by mostly foreign families who do not pay income tax.....Rothchild (London), Lazard Bros. (Paris), Israel Seiff (Italy), Kuhn-Loeb-Warburg (Germany), Lehman-Goldman- Sachs-Rockefeller (New York). It is NOT a US Federal Bank! Check your phonebook... They are listed with all the other private Banks in the Yellow Pages! Wake up America! You're being scammed!

President Woodrow Wilson confessed on his deathbed that he committed treason against Americans by signing the Federal Reserve Act into law!

I don't know about state parks closing, and this does seem OT. The "US Biosphere" program is a fact. Nominations are sent to the State Dept. and then UNESCO for acceptance.

Details can be found at our website at: http://www.snowcrest.net/siskfarm/biosph.html or the official government website at http://www.usmab.org

Currently, there are several U.S. Biosphere Reserves already designated in California. These include:

The California Coast Ranges Biosphere Reserve, consisting of - (1) the Redwood National Park; (2) Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park; (3) Jebediah Smith Redwoods State Park; (4) Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park; (5) Redwood Experimental Forest; (6) Elder Creek Area of Critical Environmental Concern; (7) Jackson Demonstration State Forest; (8) Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve; (9) Western Slope of Cone Peak, Los Padres National Forest; and (10) Heath and Marjorie Angelo Coast Range Preserve.

Golden Gate Biosphere Reserve, consisting of: (1) Golden Gate National Recreation Area; (2) Bodega Marine Preserve; (3) Farallon National Wildlife Refuge; (4) Point Reyes National Seashore; (5) Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary; (6) Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve; (7) Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary; (8) Mount Tamalpais State Park; (9) Tomales Bay State Park; (10) Samuel P. Taylor State Park; (11) San Francisco Pennisular Watershed; (12) Marin Municipal Water District; (13) Audubon Canyon Ranch.

Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks, consisting of (1) Sequoia National Park; and (2) Kings Canyon National Park.

Santa Rosa Wildlife Management Area

Stanislaus-Tuolumne Experimental Forest

Marsh,

The California Coast Ranges Biosphere Reserve, consisting of - (1) the Redwood National Park; (2) Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park; (3) Jebediah Smith Redwoods State Park; (4) Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park; (5) Redwood Experimental Forest; (6) Elder Creek Area of Critical Environmental Concern;

I can speak for these parks, I live near them.

They are open and there are no UN troops in the area. You guys need to get a grip.

I never said that they were closed and that UN troops were staffing them. I just took issue with the statement that the US biosphere program under UNESCO was bunk. It is not. I believe I provided the official government website that describes the program and the basic fact of our participation in the MAB program.

Johnny,

For facts about the Biosphere Reserve element of the U.S. MAB Program, see Open Letter to Concerned Citizens, written by Roger E. Soles, Ph.D., Executive Director, U.S. MAB Program at http://www.usmab.org/sovereignty.html

There you will see Mr. Soles's refutation of some of the false charges about the Biosphere Reserve program.

In particular, Mr. Soles points out that

The idea that the United Nations is taking over U.S. lands, private and public, is completely false. Neither the United Nations nor any other international body has any authority over public or private U.S. lands which have received recognition as biosphere reserves.
and that two reports to Congress by the Congressional Research Service noted:
"Biosphere reserve recognition does not convey any control or jurisdiction over such sites to the United Nations or to any other entity. The United States and/or state and local communities where biosphere reserves are located continue to exercise the same jurisdiction as that in place before designation. Areas are listed only at the request of the country in which they are located, and can be removed from the biosphere reserve list at any time by a request from that country."

Marsh,

Thank you for the pointer to the MAB program website.

Just got back from a vacation where we visited 8 National Parks. No UN emblems, hats or vehicles in any of them. :-)

-- Gayla Dunbar (privacy@please.com), May 26, 1999.

ack! all the 'biosphere reserve' thing does is get the park entrance a plaque and the U.S. gets an attaboy from the UN for basicly promising that they wont let the parks be turned into 'developments'. It does NOT cede any control of anything to any foriegn organization. It does NOT close anything.
