How to make your link "Hot"greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I'm a grandma and didn't know how to add a hot link to my postings, so I asked my 14 year old grandson for instructions. I thought I was the only one that didn't know such things about the internet, but I see other people posting here are having the same difficulty I did, so I'll pass along Grandson's instructions. Here goes:

That didn't come out the way I typed it. I'll try again by enclosing what I typed within quotes. If this works, ignore the beginning and ending quotes. Otherwise, use all the punctuation shown. If this doesn't work, E-mail me if you want the instructions and I'll forward them to you."Your-title-goes- here"

My apologies. I guess his instructions work too well. Just E-mail me if you want the instructions.

I'm a grandpa and I can do it. I cheated though.[VIEW][SOURCE] (in MSIE3) displays the web page with all its html tags. I did this for a page that had a working hot link, located the text of the link I was interested in, and found out how it was done.
This is a lot easier than trying to interpret a verbal description of the html coding.
