All the newby's who read Y2K-Pro's arrogant rantings and ravings immediately recognize that Y2K-Pro is a total jerk! In fact that was my impression the first time I visited this Forum as a Newby.

He's nothing but a smart ass, and most likely he was a bully in school when he was growing up! These kind of people never change and remain assholes the rest of their lives! However, most likely Y2K will do him in! NOT MUCH LOST, and the world will be a better place!

Y2K Pro strikes me as still fairly young (24?). Frankly, I like to have Y2K "optimists" here. It is good to have opposing views. I would prefer "less heated" dialog, but Y2K has had a few good comments in the past. I don't mind filtering-out the nasty noise when there is small bit of signal to be found.

Assuming he is young, perhaps he just needs to un-do the effects of our current "educational" system.

Y2K Pro has been called an asshole so many times in his life, that it does not even faze him anymore. That truly makes him an asshole! Imagine going through life and everybody thinks your're an asshole. You would think he would get tired of that! I guess once an asshole, always an asshole!

Once he gets in his sixties and divorced a half dozen times, he might then finally get it, and stop being an asshole, but it will be too late then, when even his kids think he's an asshole! They will probably put "Y2K Asshole" on his gravestone!

Most of y2k pro's problem is that he is terse and inarticulate. When you state conclusions without justifying them, those who have come to different conclusions can't see how you got there. And this makes you look arrogant and argumentative -- and it applies regardless of the opinion being stated. When we see someone baldly stating something we agree with, we neither know nor care how that statement was derived, we fill in the blanks from our own knowledge and it looks good to us.

Contrarians have the burden of providing detailed information and analysis. And make no mistake, optimists on this forum are contrarians. Y2K pro is dropping the ball.

Flint's analysis of Y2k Pro is why I consider Flint to be more balanced, more objective, more thoughtful, more logical, and even more of a GI than many.

Y2k Pro, on the other hand, has the right to his opinions.

We should be thankful we have people like Flint to provide the checks and the balances to put Y2k Pro and others in their proper perspective.
