Oh yes, I do miss the magazine. It had a local flavour as compared to the US and UK magazines. It went bust after I started reading a few issues.
Also, some years back, there was a photography section with frequent contest in Friday's Life! It disappeared as well and I really missed it.

Thanks Wee, I do share likewise. Maybe we should team up and look for some sponsors and re-create a similar magazine??

When I just started photography in 1992, reading this magazine really helped me alot in many ways. I do miss them too.

Hey guys, why not take a look at www.asiaphoto.com? Its a very Asian Online Photography E-zine thats updated very often. Not exactly print media but content-wise about there. In fact, its due for an update this weekend!

E-zines like AsiaPhoto.com may be a good alternative but it is ultimately still 'virtual'. They are still lacking behind the paper published magazines in terms of editorial, varity and professionalism.
And the current fact is that most don't use the internet. Even if they do, they hardly surf. Locating the specific e-zines on the internet may not be an easy task for them too.

WHY NOT CHECK OUT ? ALTHOUGH IT IS AN AMERICAN SITE, IT HAS A LOT TO OFFER AND IT IS FREE! SCOTTY/SIOUX CITY.
