OT: Neat bar trick

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Last Friday night, I was at a bar, usual crowd. Two guys sit down, obviously had never been there before, tried to strike up conversation with a couple of girls, got nowhere. Tried to get something going with Roxie, the gorgeous bartender, got nowhere. I figured they were not going to stay much longer.

One of them asks Roxie for a ballpoint pen, and starts to work on a $1 bill. Not writing on it, but using the pen to fold an crease it.

Next thing I know, Roxie is laughing hysterically, starts showing the $1 bill around to everyone. Instead of George Washington's face on the front, what it looks like is a ... well, lets just say it looks like a blooming mushroom, but in fact looks a lot more like something else. These two guys are now suddenly striking up lots of conversations with lots of women!!

Anyway, for the life of me I can't figure out how he did the folding/creasing (mine end up looking more like a squished ostriche). Does anyone know this trick or similar ones? Maybe a web site or book??

Thanks.

KofS,

It's an accordian fold (pleat) in the center third of the bill...that's all...sheesh, I think I first saw that trick in '73 or so...some things never change, I guess....

PLONK! -

No, it was a mud wrestling bar. I was hoping to see Troll Maria there.
