This photo is technical perfect ... but I think it4s a litlle lifeless ... just too plain ... the "GoldRule" would helped it ... maybe a more interestion angle ...

Peter, this doesn't look overflashed at all. I think that you did a great job. There is a tremendous amount of detail in the bird.

Charles - what is the "GoldRule"? Same as rule of thirds, or are you referring to early morning/late afternoon "golden hour" light? Thanks to both you and Joe for commenting.

I don't care for the bright highlight above the bird's head. Further, all the interest in the image is in the upper right-hand triangle defined by the diagonal of the bird's back and the two corners. There is nothing in the lower left triangle of interest. The image would look better to me if the bird were placed lower and more to the left in the frame.
