(1). Will it harm the Photo Smart to scan a 35mm film mounted in a sandwich of mounting glass bound by a thin frame of aluminum? It is some thicker than the cardboard mounts, maybe twice as thick.

(2). How can b&w negatives of all the sizes of yesteryear be scanned? Does it require a carrier transparent on both sides? Is such a carrier available if this is the solution. If not what is the solution?
