neopan ss + Xtol

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

Need help with processing times for neopan ss(100) in xtol. Does not seem too be any info around about it. Anyone out there tried it yet or got a chart form who knows where. I would like the help, just bought 10 rolls and would like to try it with xtol. Thanks.

Where did you get that SS? I don't see it on B&H's list, or in "The Fil m and Feveloping Cookbook" (Anchell & Troop, Focal Press, 1998.) They do list a lot of other films. Development times with Xtol 1:1 at 68 degrees F for the following 100 speed films: Delta 100 10.5 min; TMZ 9.25 min; FP4+ 10 min; APX 9.75. Depending on the contrast range of your scene, looks like you could start with 9 or 10 minutes. By the way, I love that book, and recommend it highly. Regards, Phil

Thanks for the posting. I am writing from Canada and the film is fairly common here. Thanks again for the starting point. tim
