I see in the reviews of the Oly 620 that it is referred to as a a SLR digital camera. What is the difference between it and a C2000z?

"SLR" means "Single Lens Reflex" - The viewfinder looks out through the same lens as the camera takes a picture through. The C-2000 Zoom (and most consumer digicams) are "rangefinder" cameras, in which the viewfinder is separate from the picture-taking optics. SLRs are very useful for macro shots, and other situations where you may be hanging accessories off the front lens, although he availability of an LCD view of what the CCD is seeing helps a great deal...

and in september there will be a C 2500 Zoom, the same than C2000, but with a SLR lens.
