Digital adapter for SLRs?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Hi all I read some time ago about an adaptor system being developed by a company whos name I unfortunately forgot. It would fit inside an SLR as a sort of a photo film replacement. The photosensitive element placed before the back plate was said to be thin enough. I also seem to rememver the projected price around $1000. The information about this was published (at least twice) in Amateur Photorgapher. Does anyone know anything about it, could post an URL? Thanks.

That imagek site is total vaporware.. Intel and some other co. are developing something that looks to be the real McCoy

There was recently some news about this concept. It seems Intel and Kodak are working on something.
